US stocks ended higher on Friday as the US economy added jobs.

The U.S. economy added 336,000 positions in September, much more than Wall Street economists expected.

Even after this the unemployment rate remained at 3.8%.

Economists predicted the U.S. added only 170,000 jobs last month and thought the unemployment rate would slide back to 3.7%.

This is better for the economy than a lackluster jobs figure.

It's not exactly the cool labor market that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is looking for to keep inflation under control.
