According to a report published by agency PTI after the announcement of CUET UG Result 2023, this year over 11.11 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam where 22,836 students have scored 100 percentile in India’s second biggest entrance exam.
After the declaration of CUET UG Result 2023 on July 15, 2023, English is the top subject, followed by Biology and Economics. 5,685 candidates scored 100 per cent in English, of which 4,850 scored the top score in Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry, followed by 2,836 in Economics.
According to a report in PTI, this year CUET-UG was conducted in nine phases between May 21 and July 5 and unlike in 2022, it was conducted in three shifts. University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said that this year 2,200 subject experts and 800 translators have been involved in preparing 2,305 question papers and 1,48,520 questions.
This year a total of 14,99,796 candidates had registered for the CUET UG Exam 2023 out of which 11,16,018 candidates appeared in the exam. Out of this, a total of 6,02,028 female candidates and 5,13,978 male candidates appeared in the examination.
