ICAI CA 2024 Exam
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the datesheet of Chartered Accountant (CA) Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations on January 25 on the official website i.e. icai.org. According to the official notification, the foundation course examinations will be held in June i.e. on 20, 22, 24 and 25 June 2024.
Meanwhile, the intermediate course examinations for Group 1 are scheduled to be held on 3, 5 and 7 May and Group 2 examinations will be held on 9, 11 and 13 May 2024. What is ICAI CA Exam 2024?
It is ICAI CA exam, also known as Chartered Accountant exam. It is a professional entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) in India and is considered to be one of the toughest examinations in the entire country. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), CA qualification is also considered equivalent to a postgraduate degree.
To get certified as a Chartered Accountant, candidates have to pass all the course levels and the CA course consists of three levels, the syllabus from first to third is given below:
Foundation: This is the entry level exam, and can be given after class 12th.
Intermediate: This level which can be done after passing the Foundation exam or completing graduation.
Final: This is the final level of examination and can be taken after passing the intermediate examination and completing three years of practical training.
ICAI CA Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates interested in seeking admission to CA program must fulfill the course-wise eligibility criteria mentioned below.
CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in the current year.
- Have registered for CA Foundation course before 30th June 2024.
- In this, one should complete at least 4 months of study before appearing for the exam.
CA Intermediate Eligibility Criteria
Direct Entry for Undergraduate/Postgraduate:
- Candidates who have passed the CA Foundation Examination or equivalent examination are candidates who have passed the previous CA Intermediate Examination as per the syllabus under Schedule B or Paragraph 2 or 2A of the Vocational Education (Course-II), Professional Qualification Course. CA Final Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed CA Intermediate Examination or Professional Education Examination – II/PCC/IPCC are eligible to apply for CA Final Examination.
