Bar Exam 2024 Time
All applicants will have to sit for the Bar Exam not earlier than 8:20 am on both days. The exam will start immediately after reading the instructions. Applicants are required to go to the test centers selected when applying and should plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to locate the designated sections or rooms. Applicants should be seated no earlier than 1:30 pm, with instructions for the afternoon session beginning promptly at 1:45 pm.
The exam is scheduled to end around 5:30 pm on Tuesday and around 5:00 pm on Wednesday. The completion time may also vary depending on the time taken to read the instructions. Applicants who have applied for Bar Exam 2024 and are eligible to appear for the Bar Exam will be called for the exam on Tuesday only.

Illinois Bar Exam Format 2024
The Illinois Bar Exam is administered over two days and held twice a year in February and July. The RIAA consists of three components: the Multistate Performance Test (MPT), the Multistate Essay Examination (MEE), and the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE).
Day 1
The written portion of the exam is published the day before the Illinois Bar Exam. The written portion of the bar exam consists of the Multistate Performance Test (“MPT”) and the Multistate Essay Examination (“MEE”). You will have three hours to answer two MPT questions. Meanwhile you will have three hours to answer six questions of MEE.

- Afternoon: MEE (six 30-minute essays)
Day 2
The Multistate Bar Examination (“MBE”) is held on the same day as the Illinois Bar Examination. MBE which is a multiple choice exam consisting of 200 questions.

- Afternoon: MBE (three-hour session with 100 multiple-choice questions)
MBE is divided into morning and afternoon sessions with 100 questions each. You will have three hours to complete each session.
