IIT JAM 2024 exam will be conducted on February 11, 2024 (Sunday), it will be conducted in two sessions as follows:

IIT JAM Exam Pattern 2024
IIT JAM 2024 exam pattern is going to be similar to last year. It is a computer based examination of three hours duration which is conducted in two slots. The total number of questions is 60 and total marks are 100 and the questions are of three types, which are multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple choice questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT). The exam has a differential marking scheme and a negative marking scheme for each wrong answer.
- Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted through online mode.
- Medium: The examination will be in English language only.
- Total Questions: There will be a total of 60 questions in the exam.
- Duration: Candidates will be allotted 3 hours to solve the paper.
- Subjects: The test paper will consist of 7 subjects.
- Marking Scheme: MCQ paper will have questions of 1 mark, MSQ section will have 2 marks per question and NAT section will have one or two marks per question.
- Negative Marking: In this, for wrong answer of one mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted and for wrong answer of two mark question, 2/3 mark will be deducted. However, keep in mind that no marks will be deducted in MSQs and NAT section.

IIT JAM 2024 Exam Centers
The science entrance exam was conducted in 103 cities divided into eight zones. There can be more than one IIT JAM exam center in a city.
